IMPORTANT DATES AND DOCUMENTS


The trip to Canberra offers students a variety of educational programs focused on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy. The students visit Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, Old Parliament House, Questacon, CSIRO, the National Archives, the National Capital Exhibition, the National Gallery, the National Library, the National Museum, the National Film and Sound Archive and the Royal Australian Mint. The Canberra trip offers students:

  • new experiences
  • a deeper understanding of our Australian identity
  • an greater understanding of democracy and government, history and heritage
  • an opportunity to develop increased responsibility

 Students also participate in a number of social activities such as ice skating, laser tag, skiing and bowling.

ORGANISATION

The Canberra trip takes place in August each year.

The twelve months leading up to the trip is full of opportunities to reduce the cost of the trip to families through fundraising activities.

A $100 deposit is due in September leading up to the trip the following year.

Instalments can be made at anytime during the year.
