The Nhulunbuy Primary School Uniform Policy has been developed to meet the needs of students, their families, and the school. The intention is to promote harmony, equity, discipline, and self-respect. It is a major contributor to the tone of the school and reflects a positive image of the school.

A uniform dress code reinforces in students a pride in their own appearance, instils recognition of themselves as an integral part of the school community, and assists in developing pride in representing their school.

  • To promote equity amongst all students.
  • To further develop a sense of pride in, and identification with the school.
  • To provide durable clothing that is cost effective and practical for the school community.
  • To maintain and enhance the positive image of the school within the community.

Uniforms for the Primary School and the Preschool are available for purchase at the Primary School Front Office anytime between 8:00am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. Our staff accept both eftpos and cash.

At the beginning of every year, the NT Government provides a $150 Back to School voucher that can be used to purchase uniforms when enrolled in term 1. Preschool students who enrol in terms 2, 3 and 4 are entitled to use the voucher in the term they enrol.
